I love this one Rich.
The series of phots you upload are great, lots of colour and lots of life. But there´s something about this image that makes me feel...overwhelmed...

yeah that really was an amazing and powerful sunset.

again it's so simple for people who need a ton of stuff going on to get interested in something...a pic like this will mean nothing.

It's a shame really because simple is the foundation for everything.

I like the title too because Earth is such a simple word....I think sometimes it has completely lost it's meaning (like a lot of words) to me it's this powerful almost put your fist in the air statement or something.

EARTH/

I agree about the title. I think it's perfect. And the photo is such a perfect representation of it, I think, which those rich orange and brown tones.

I am big fan of Stanley Kubrick and he's like the master of simple powerful images so he's a big inspiration for me when I do these landscapes.

I think another thing to point out is most if not ALL the places I take this pics are extremely populated and humanly tampered (meaning built up with homes and things that are man made) with areas.

I normally try to get NO signs of human life in these pics....like at the beach it is insane because I am trying to show no signs of human existence....and there are like a ton of people down there....

that's an art form in itself.

I'm also a huge fan of Stanley Kubrick's work.

You do a wonderful job of not capturing signs of people or human life in your shots. They look so wild and natural. It must be really difficult. I know anytime I try to take pictures in public there's always some idiot (or their kids) who keeps running into my shot, on purpose, I swear.

(Hey awesome another Kubrick fan!!)

yeah it's really true...I think people who are really into stuff (art of photography) see more than maybe the casual glancer...but hopefully you can do something that looks effortless....and fun...interesting, cool and all that to anyone who sees you work.
